The EPA estimated safe level of chloramines in drinking water is 4 mg/l. My city water is 2.5 mg/l. Is 2.5 mg/l a safe level? Fluoride in water is HORRIBLE. Studies are showing it causes thyroid problems, bone density problems, and even brain damage. It should never be ingested and your body treats it like a poison. In fact it’s toxicity level is ranked higher than lead, and we all know the dangers of lead poisoning. And most water filters DO NOT remove fluoride from water, it has to go through a distilling or reverse osmosis system. (And then you have to be careful because some bottled water companies add it in.) So a PUR or Brita water filter is not good enough. If you can avoid fluoridated water, do.
