I need fluoride–what is the best way to get it and how much do I need?
I have been living in China for the last 2 years and just recently went back to Canada for a check up (I did go every 6 months for a cleaning and check up in Hong Kong) where my dentist filled 2 cavities and yanked an infected molar. He said I need to get more fluoride.
I do use fluoride toothpaste and mouthwash. The dentist said I needed more b/c of the lack of it in the water–I drink only bottled water and cannot drink the tap water where I live.
Well, usually people get fluoride from toothpaste.
Fluoride water may help you as well. The taste is different but the benefits are nice. If you like the taste of the fluoride water, then you’ll love fluoride gum!
Also have your dentist prescribe you “extra fluoride” toothpaste or request a fluoride treatment (usually done to children but still available to those who pay). The special toothpaste usually goes for around 15 US dollars, and the fluoride treatment can get expensive - between 50 and 100 US dollars, I believe.
There’s also fluoride gel that your dentist can prescribe for you that costs around 15 US dollars.
Simply stated, either buy some fluoride water or gum and/or go back to the dentist and request special stuff.

When the U.S. Public Health Service endorsed water fluoridation in 1950, there was little evidence of its safety. Now, six decades later and after most countries have rejected the practice, many cities and towns across the United States continue to fluoridate their water supply and the Center for Disease Control and the American Dental Association continue to endorse it, despite increasing evidenc…
Three questions and answers about the H1N1 virus for your business internet money online opportunity
We continue to be inundated with information about the flu season and the H1N1 swine flu virus. We all ask ourselves the question, should I get the H1N1 flu shot? Is this virus more dangerous than the seasonal flu? Who are the people at risk and even dying from the disease? What is in the inoculation? These are very important questions to ask yourself. You need to provide the answers given here to your customers visiting your business internet money online opportunity web site.
Here are three questions and answers to consider before being vaccinated or panicking about the H1N1 swine flu.
1. Is the H1N1 swine flu a strong virus and worse than the seasonal flu? No. In the vast majority of cases, both viruses are mild enough where the people are able to recover without hospitalization or medication. Both the seasonal and swine flu produce identical symptoms. This includes a fever exceeding 100 degrees, coughing, runny nose and/or sore throat, joint aches, headaches, vomiting and/or diarrhea, lethargy and lack of appetite. You need to be aware that we all get sick and in this flu season be sure and provide the truth to you customers at your website for your business internet money online opportunity.
2. Is it true only those people with severely compromised immune systems are dying or are susceptible to serious harm from either the seasonal flu or the swine flu? The answer to this question is obvious. The flu does not kill those in good health, it kills those whose immune systems have lost their ability to protect. Those children who have died from H1N1 are those with a pre-existing disease. It has been shown that Vitamin D is a main protector against the flu and many diseases. Children or people with a Vitamin D deficiency are at risk. The CDC reports that 36,000 people die annually from the flu but this statistic does not tell you that nearly 34,000 of these cases also had pneumonia caused from other complications and actually die from that. Thus the actual figures are that out of hundreds of millions of people only about 1,800 actually die from the flu and we are not sure if they die from the seasonal or H1N1. Again, report the facts on your business internet money online opportunity web site.
3. Are the ingredients in the swine flu inoculation dangerous? Here is a list of some of the ingredients so you can decide.
- Squalene – an adjuvant, causes severe immune responses and is linked to auto-immune disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, lupus, ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) and Gulf War Syndrome
- Thimerosal – mercury, linked to neurological disorders such as autism, the 25mcg within 1 vaccine is 250 times greater than the EPA’s level that is considered safe. We are told not to eat more than 1 serving of fish per week due to mercury yet injecting a large amount into the blood stream is supposedly healthy?
- Aluminum — a neurotoxin linked to Alzheimer’s disease
- Triton X-100 — a detergent
- Phenol (carbolic acid)
- Ethylene glycol (antifreeze)
- Betapropiolactone - a disinfectant
- Nonoxynol - used to kill or stop growth of STDs
- Octoxinol 9 - a spermicide
- Sodium phosphate
So will you put yourself and family at risk by taking the H1N1 swine flu shot and possibly even get the flu as has been the case in Canada or stay healthy and take precautions to avoid getting it? This is your decision but in either case be sure and tell the facts to your customers at your business internet money online opportunity web site.

New Orleans mayor Ray Nagin is being held in quarantine in China for suspicion of Swine flu, poetic justice?
On the way back from a tax payer paid visit to China (called a economic summit), Mayor Nagin (the mayor of New orleans during katrina) gets held up and quarantined for sitting in close proximity to someone showing Swine flu symptoms. Is this “karma” for doing nothing while New Orleans was under assault by mother nature?
Death Scouter- Very well stated.
Hater police- Did you read the rest of the details or only the initial question itself? Get a clue half-wit.
Nagin was VERY busy…..
… he worked very hard to blame Bush and the federal government for the FACT that the hundreds of millions of dollars sent to New Orleans over the last 20 years FOR THE LEVEY SYSTEM were REDIRECTED to “pet projects” of N.O. local politicians… KNOWINGLY leaving the Levey systems outdated, sinking, and unprepared for Catagory 4+ hurricanes.
An infection mainly occurring in nose and throat. Common colds are caused by viruses and generally take 2 to 5 days to recover. The viruses that cause common colds are very dangerous and are spread by simple fine spray from sneezes and coughs. Coughing is a reflex action that can be caused by many irritants. Although it can be an indication of more illness such as pneumonia, usually is due to upper respiratory tract (nose and throat) infection.
Often people talk of “having a flu” when they are actually suffering from a cold. They are both caused by viruses. However, the flu, influenza is a serious illness that can result in death. The flu starts suddenly with a higher fever and you would feel so unwell. The onset of a cold, however, is more gradually and symptoms are normally restricted to just your throat and nose.
Usually, you will have a runny nose and weepy eyes. Some peoples also cough, sneeze and suffer from sore throats. More commonly, you would feel generally unwell and in slightly more severe cases, you may a headache, fever o even lose your voice. Coughs that are associated with colds are harmless and you should be mindful to see whether it progresses to be longer than a week and if feel unwell it’s time to see your doctor.
Avoid:
- Take preventive measures - always wash your hands with soap and water
- Avoid touching your nose, eyes and mouth with your hand.
- Always cover your mouth when sneezing or coughing.
- Use tissues rather than handkerchiefs and throw them away after use
- Avoid sharing utensil such as cups, cutlery and other personal items.
- Avoid contact with other cold sufferers.
When your symptoms get worse. If you suffer from other health conditions such as asthma or diabetes that worsen during a cold. It is also advised that you consult your doctor if the symptoms come on suddenly, are severe or last longer than usual.
See doctor if:
- Temperature exceed 38.5 degree Celsius (38 for children)
- Chills.
- Severe headaches
- Hurting eyes.
- Chest pain
- Shortness of breath, noisy or fast breathing
- Skin rash
- Pale or mottled skin.
- Vomiting
- Difficulty waking up or drowsiness.
- Persistent cough.
- Aching muscles.
Immediately (seriously) see your doctor if your baby develops:
Bulging of the fontanel (soft spot on the top of a baby’s head)
- High temperature
- Strange high pitched cry
- Lack of energy
- Loss of appetite
- Earache.
It is very important to remember that antibiotics only help in infections caused by bacteria. They have no effects on viruses. Hence antibiotics do not help with colds. You have to allow your immune system to fight the viruses. Beside that, antibiotics do not help with any of the cold and cough symptoms either. They do not stop your condition from getting worse and also do not stop you from spreading the viruses to other people. Very importantly, the use of antibiotics when you do not need them makes them less effective when you eventually do need antibiotics for a bacterial infection. This also increases resistance to antibiotics in the community. Use of antibiotics can also cause unwanted side effects such as stomach discomfort, diarrhea, fungal infections such as thrush and all allergic reactions. It usually suffices to get adequate rest and use symptomatic treatments.

Colds and flu are not only inconvenient, some of them can actually be deadly. Colds can frequently turn into infections of various kinds, such as sinus infection and pneumonia, and in the past few years, there have been a variety of viral outbreaks that have proven extremely dangerous, including the deadly outbreak of SARS in March 2004 and the pandemic of H1N1 influenza in April 2009. My mother has been sick for 2 weeks with swine and pneumonia. Im afraid she wont get better What can I/she do?
My sister was confirmed today at the doctors with swine flu. 3 weeks ago my entire family was having similar symptoms. But no positive test. they told me the test wasnt that accurate so I still think we all came down with swine flu. We had every symptom mainly upper respiratory. My question is, Im very afraid my mother isnt going to get better. Shes been very sick for 2 weeks straight and now has pneumonia. Shes had a fever for about a week. The only thing the doctor said for her to do is breathing treatments which isnt helping much. Her airway is still very constricted. Please someone help me. Even she thinks she is dieing. What can we do to prevent death ??Also I have a 2 month old that lives with us. Should I worry about her getting this? So far she seems okay.. A little congested though sometimes..When I use the nasal bulb i get a little mucus but otherwise she seems ok. My main concern is for my mother.
She needs to go to ER right away. This is nothing to mess with. Since she has had it this long it needs immediate attention. Good luck

I’m sixteen years old with VERY mild asthma. As in I never have to take my inhaler at all. Because of this I was put into a high risk factor and given my swine flu immunization jab on the 18th of November.
Now I’m suffered from a painful sore throat and chills. My temperature is bouncing back and forth between 37-38 degrees C. Is this just a cold, or what? Am I immune yet? What should I do? I’m getting a bit nervous.
My symptoms started on Wednesday night.
You are just having a mild reaction to the vaccine. Its nothing to worry about, just take some paracetamol if you are allowed them.
I have to disagree with ASHLEY as they have not used live virus for many decades. Its an attenuated killed virus that’s used in flu vaccines.
