Is A Transmission Flush Necessary

Should I get my power steering flushed? I’ve been told I need to, but have concerns…?
It’s a 2002 Ford Focus Automatic Transmission. The fluid is rather dark, but I’m skeptical of these flushes. Here’s my concerns:
1. It has almost 100,000 miles and runs fine with no steering issues.
2. It has never been flushed before and it seems that this could just cause more problems like blowing seals.
3. Is it necessary? I’ve heard that the old fluid can sometimes act as a seal for certain parts and putting the new fluid in can ruin those ’seals’.
Please help, car is in the shop as we speak and they say I need this.
heck no you don,t need to flush it. i been driving since 1967 and i never had a power steering flushed. it will look dark after awhile but it don,t mean it needs flushed. as long as it,s working good then don,t worry about it. just make sure it,s full and you will be ok.

When Can I Start Drinking The Strip Natural Cleanser?
today, i went to GNC, a health store in our local mall. they have a drink there that is guaranteed to flush out your system of pretty much any drug. costs 50 bucks. the guy there told me that i should start drinking it 3-4 hours before my drug test on tuesday. however, im a little nervous that my system wont be completely flushed out in 3-4 hours. the bottle says that it kicks in within the first 30 minutes and lasts up to 8 hours. this drink is made specifically to get illegal drugs out of your system, which is good, but its also used to keep a lot of air pollutants from circulating throughout your body, and it overall just makes you healthier. i understand that if i take it right before my drug test, it will keep the air pollutants out, but thats not what im worried about. this drink is supposed to actually flush drugs all out of you, instead of “covering up” what’s there. so couldnt i start drinking it tonight? i mean its not like the THC/amphetamine can come back right?

How To Take Fluconazole

My Dr. Prescribed me Fluconazole which is a generic for Diflucan to treat yeast infection?
How long does it take to get back to normal it is a 100 mg tablet and the Dr. gave me a 3 day course. I am soo anxious to get back to normal.
When I get Diflucan it is generally 1 Tablet. That takes care of the Yeast infection. Look up your dosage, if you need to take a 3 Day regimen then that is why you have 3 tablets.and you take one for 3 days If you are still uncertain, call your Doctor and they should be able to clarify this for you. Swine Flu Survival Kit
No one knows for sure how long the Swine Flu is going to be making its rounds. It seems like there are new reports of cases in the same wide spread areas over and over. This makes it impossible to know for sure if this flu has passed you by or is simply going to catch you in the next outbreak. That is why it is important for everyone to have a Swine Flu Survival Kit on hand. This kit should contain the things you need both to help prevent you from catching this potentially deadly flu and those things to help fight it in the event you do catch it.
Prevention Kit
The first thing your survival kit for flu prevention should include is food. Not just any food but foods that will help build and strengthen your immune system. This means your refrigerator and cabinets should maintain a good stock or green and leafy vegetables, carrots, tomatoes and sweet potatoes. Lean meats such as fish and chicken, and fresh fruits including berries and citrus fruits which you eat on a daily basis. Including spices such as garlic, turmeric and ginger in your diet will also help strengthen you immune system.
Even if strengthening your immune system does not prevent you from catching the swine flu, it can help lessen the symptoms and fight against some of the complications caused by this disease.

Face masks will help protect you from breathing in the virus and plastic gloves will help when handling things the infected person touches. Anti bacterial sprays will also be needed to clean surfaces that the sick person has come into contact with.
Treatment Kit
You are going to also want a treatment kit on hand to help you deal with the symptoms of the flu so that you can avoid as many complications as possible. This will include fever medications. Extremely high fevers are associated with the Swine Flu and having fever medications on hand to help keep that fever in check is a must, as a high fever often leads to dehydration which in turn can lead to a host of other complications.
Make sure you have a good stock of liquids to drink in the event that you catch the flu. While water is necessary during this time, fruit juices can add vitamins and minerals necessary when eating is difficult. Tea, especially green tea can also help fight some of the symptoms of the virus and adding ginger to the tea may help settle an upset stomach as well as reduce fever. It also contains anti viral properties which may actually help fight the virus itself.
Cold compresses should also be contained in your flu survival kit to help reduce the painful headaches that accompany this flu.
Having a survival kit on hand to fight the Swine Flu will enable you to start treating it immediately which may help keep the symptoms in check. If your flu symptoms worsen or if you are at high risk consult your doctor immediately.

Flu Vaccines And Egg Allergies

Asthmatic child had swine flu, should H1N1/Flu vaccine an option? He has a known allergy on whole eggs but ..?
has not been re-evaluated since he was 3 years old.
My 10 yr old son, had a brush w/ the swine flu a week ago, that left him short of breath, lethargic, temp as high as 103, I rushed him to ER where he was given fluids, Mg and steroids.
My fear is that my son would contract swine flu again and the second time would be more fatal. How can I protect my son? I also have a 2 year old who had the symptoms before her brother but eventually recovered from it.

I know this is going to sound hard, but you should do all that you can to keep your kids apart a bit, and of course washing hands, anti-bacterial soap, etc along with stopping ‘kid’ things like licking their hands or sharing food or other stuff like that.
Asthmatic kids are high priority so if there is a non-egg version of the shot available, I would imagine you might be high on the list to get it. Not to scare you but you should note that H1N1 is believe to have a very harsh impact on the lungs, so you really want to go the extra mile to try and get protected and practice good habits to prevent your kids from dealing with this:

How To Live The Green Life
As global warming continues to be a major concern for the future of our planet, people are starting to turn to green living practices to help save it for future generations. Green living involves every aspect of our daily lives - from driving to work to mowing our lawns.
Making the switch to green living all at once might scare most people away from implementing those earth-friendly changes. However, there are many ways to ease into this practice and help save the environment.
Air pollution is a major problem in many cities. Massive amounts of pollutant have been generated by factories, but that is not the only avenue contributing to global warming. Automobiles give off a fair amount of pollutants into the air as well.
When you have a lot of cars driving around on the city streets, you are multiplying the amount of pollutants being emitted by each car that is destroying our ozone. If you want to save the environment, you can start by either carpooling, walking more instead of driving or even purchasing hybrid models that do not contribute much damage.
This small change can bring much relief for the environment for future generations. There are many ways to adapt green living into your life by taking a look at your home. What kind of light bulbs are you using?
The standard bulbs we use contribute to higher electricity bills and higher levels of carbon dioxide. If you switch at least some of your standard bulbs with the compact fluorescent bulbs, you can save the environment and at the same time save on your electric bill.
Make sure to seal any gaps around windows and doors to keep any cold drafts from blowing into the house, which can cost you more money. Make sure the house is well insulated to help cut down on those costs in the wintertime. The less the furnace or heater has to run, the better off everyone will be.
Take a look at your appliances. Are they devouring too much energy? If they are older models, the answer is probably yes. While some of the changes are in the appliances that you use, other ways to go green involve your own habits and actions.
Do you open the oven door several times to check and see if something is done? The harder an appliance has to work, the harder it is on the environment. If you keep opening the oven door, the temperature will drop almost 25 degrees. It will then have to work harder to get back to the original temperature.
Recycling is an excellent way to save our environment. Try buying products that can be recycled and avoid the non-recyclable items such as Styrofoam cups. The less trash that has to be burned - or buried into our soil - the better off our planet will be.
These small changes may seem like they are not able to help much for the environment, but in reality they can help tremendously. Every little bit we do is a much-needed step toward reserving natural resources for our future generations. Get involved with the environment and start to make a difference in the practice of green living for our earth.

Stomach Flu In Maryland

Anyone else have this virus going around? I’ve had diarrhea since Friday…can’t shake it. Help!!?
So Friday, out of the blue, I started with diarrhea and some brief vomiting. Got the chills and some aches and figured I had the flu. The next day, the fever and aches were gone (no more vomiting other than one episode) but three days later I still have diarrhea. And I haven’t really felt like eating much over three days either. But yet I’m still on the toilet constantly. Just feeling really ragged. Stomach rumbling, etc. Anyone else in the Mid-Atlantic (I’m in Maryland) have this bug? How long will it hang around? Any home remedies out there?
Yeah sounds very much like viral gastroenteritis, there are a lot of viruses that can cause it. They are usually self-limiting, they go by themselves. Can be anything from 24 hours to a week. Keep yourself hydrated, isotonic drinks or flat 7Up is good. Don’t eat spicy food or anything that might upset your stomach until it settles. If you can’t keep liquids down or if it hasn’t settled soon, go to your Doctor. And be careful who you share plates, cups, glasses etc with, keep your hands clean after going to the toilet. These viruses can pass on very easily.
