Garage Fluorescent Light Fixtures

Types of Commercial Lighting Fixtures
American-made Commercial Lighting fixtures feature the highest commercial grade lighting fixtures in all major light sources used for building exterior, site lighting, security lighting, warehouse interior lighting, roadway lighting, and security lighting systems. Contractors and end-users benefit from a great freedom of choice when working with RLLD Commercial Lighting. As a multi-manufacturer representative, we maintain an objective stance toward brand and technology type, working through a nation wide distribution network that is quota free from our standpoint. This means that we will never insist that any company or individual buy a particular product from us to fulfill obligatory demands of our vendor status. On the contrary, we actually extend vendor privileges to our clients by allowing sole proprietor designers and electricians direct access to the relationships we enjoy with the world’s top manufactures and giving them access to pricing and shipping services that smaller companies and individuals may not be able to obtain on their own.
Clients of US distributors like RLLD Commercial lighting can thus obtain fixtures of any type, size, intensity, and design simply by contacting and RLLD lighting specialist and placing an order directly through our distribution network. Our growing inventory offers the following to contractors, end users, architects, and building developers nationwide.
Incandescent
Although incandescent lamps are more frequently used in residential lighting applications, some commercial lighting fixtures also used this technology. Incandescent lamps pass current through a filament, which causes the filament to give off light. Because they are relatively short lived, incandescents are used mostly as decorative commercial lighting fixtures. Their ability to render warm colors effectively without ballast makes them well suited to this application, and the enormous variety of bulb designs make them highly soft after source of any type of accent lighting or decorum based commercial lighting design.
Fluorescent
Fluorescent lamps are used extensively in commercial lighting fixtures for a number of reasons. First and foremost of these reasons is their ability to use less power than other commercial lighting fixtures, making them very cost effective from an energy conservation perspective. Fluorescent bulbs also produce a very bright light that is evenly distributed, making them ideal commercial warehouse lighting fixtures, canopy lights, security lights, in interior retail lights in discount stores where high levels of general lighting help psychologically motivate larger bulk purchases of discount merchandise.
Fluorescent bulbs produce light by activating phosphors on the interior of the bulb using ultraviolet energy generated by a mercury arc. Ballast helps start and operate the fluorescent lamps by regulating electron flow through the gaseous arc. Trends in fluorescent technology have made them more compact, increasing lumens per watt efficiency as high as 100 lumens per watt, and reducing the amount of toxic mercury within the bulbs interior. Fluorescent commercial lighting fixtures are best deployed underneath building eaves (as in the case of canopy lights), near loading docks, in wallpacks on the sides of buildings, or as large grocery store or warehouse lights. Placing them too far out into open spaces tends to diffuse their light output and diminish their intensity.
High Intensity Discharge (HID) Commercial Lighting Fixtures
HID stands for High Intensity Discharge. It refers to a technology where light is produced by a gaseous arc discharge using a variety of elements. Typical elements include mercury vapor, metal halide, and high pressure sodium. The arc tube within an HID lamp will contain one or more of such elements, and when current passes between the electrodes at either end of the tube, the current creates an arc that generates visible light.
HID lamps feature the highest efficiency in lumens per watt output and also feature a greater level of lighting control. They also last longer than other commercial lighting fixtures, making them a wise investment for a company on a Spartan budget that cannot afford to continually replace equipment.
High intensity discharge sources include mercury vapor, metal halide, and high pressure sodium (HPS) lamps. Light is produced in HID and low pressure sodium (LPS) sources through a gaseous arc discharge using a variety of elements. Each HID lamp consists of an arc tube which contains certain elements or mixtures of elements which, when an arc is created between the electrodes at each end, gasify and generate visible radiation.
Light Sources and Lamp Characteristics:
Mercury Vapor (MV)
Mercury vapor lights were the first HID commercial lighting fixtures developed. They were designed originally to meet a rising demand for a very compact, high output, and energy efficient source of light. They are used extensively in a number of landscape lighting applications, being commonly deployed as tree lights in high-end commercial outdoor lighting systems. In other applications they have proven somewhat less effective duo to their inferior color rendering abilities, although this has improved to a certain extent over the years by phosphor coated interior bulb walls.
The life of mercury vapor lamps is good, averaging 24,000 hours for larger wattage lamps. However, because the output diminishes so greatly over time, economical operational life is often much shorter. Efficacy ranges from 30 to 60 lumens per watt, with the higher wattages being more efficacious than the lower wattages.
As with other HID lamps, the starting of a mercury vapor lamp is not immediate. Starting time is short, though, taking 4-7 minutes to achieve maximum output depending upon the ambient temperature.
High Pressure Sodium (HPS)
High Pressure Sodium (HPS) commercial lighting fixtures gained huge popularity in the 1970’s to meet the needs of a powerful, yet super efficient, source of HID lighting. Lumens per watt output in an HPS lamp can be as high as 140 lumens per watt-approximately 7 times the luminance as incandescent lamps and twice that of MV or Fluorescent. They also last for approximately 24,000 hours—the longest lamp light on the market.
The problem with HPS commercial lighting fixtures has always been the quality of light they create. HPS lamps give off a yellowish or orange-tinted color and are not acceptable light sources for situations where illuminating a brand, architectural keynote, or any type of ornate exterior landscaping requires a high level of color rendering. For the most part, they are used in applications such as commercial parking garage lighting, warehouse lighting, and certain outdoor applications such as security flood lighting.
Metal Halide (MH)
Metal Halide (MH) commercial lighting fixtures are fast becoming the preferred source of HID lighting in most commercial environments. This is because they produce a very bright white light that nearly equivalent to daylight in its color rendering ability. The variety of applications is significant as a result, ranging from decorative street lighting, commercial parking lot lighting, car lot lighting, outdoor landscape lighting, architectural lighting, security lighting, and general site lighting. Traditionally, their biggest drawback has been their short lamp life-only 7,500 hours on the average.
Newer designs in Metal Halide commercial lighting fixtures include pulse start technology and ceramic metal halide design. These improvements have increased lumens per watt efficiency, control of the light itself through superior dimmability, better stability of color rendering, longer lamp life, and shorter start time.
Unfortunately, recent legislation has called for the phase out of certain standard forms of MH commercial lighting fixtures due to their use of incendiary elements that fall under the classification of greenhouse gas sources. This in turn paves the way for the most sophisticated lighting ever developed on our world, and quite possibly, the singular source of lighting used both commercially and residentially in the very near future: LED commercial lighting fixtures.
LED Commercial Lighting Fixtures
As technology improves, the ability to create truly “white” led light continues to evolve. LED commercial lighting fixtures are featuring higher lumens per watt efficiencies than their initial prototypes initially offered. This has opened the door for a number of architectural lighting and site lighting applications that were previously the exclusive domain of HID commercial lighting fixtures.
We are also seeing an upsurge in the use of led commercial lighting fixtures in street and roadway lighting, where a number of municipalities in the United States and Europe have reported some very promising findings in regards to both power cost reduction and the overall quality of street lighting itself.
Look for quarterly leaps and bounds in the engineering gains made by LED commercial lighting fixture manufacturers, and be sure to sign up for our RLLD Commercial Lighting Newsletter which will feature news updates and case studies about this exciting and revolutionary technology.

Kitchen Fluorescent Light Box

Wall Light Fixtures
I consider the installation of wall light fixtures to be a piece of cake, but for those who may find it a challenge, i wish to highlight a few tips that will help you overcome the notion that it could be difficult. One, these fixtures will only require regular outlet boxes and just that you may not lose hope, the package that comes with these products has pictures illustrating the installation process. All you need in most cases are the screws to attach the strap to the outlet, unless of course you are dealing serially or parallel connections.
The simple process involved in the installation of wall light fixtures allows you to run wild with ideas, in the end, producing artistic impressions that match the home decor. You can choose from a wide range of lighting devices available. Some of these devices could be make up lights, wall cans, sconces and swivel arms. Consulting house decoration catalogs and electrical installation technicians should help you reach a decision on the kind of lighting system you’d like for your room.
You can have these wall light fixtures installed over your reading desk, by the bed side or over the kitchen table. This means that you can place then in areas where you need light for a specific job only. or for illuminating a specific part of the house. I find it a good idea to combine the use of various wall light fixtures with fluorescent bulbs and low voltage lights since they are energy saving and environment friendly.

- ROWAN WILLIAMS –”There’s a lot of internal debate within the Islamic community about the nature of Sharia and its extent; nobody in thenright mind i think would want to see in this country (UK) a kind of inhumanity that’s sometimes been associated with the practice of the law in some Islamic states — the extreme punishments, the attitudes to women as well and i think one of the points again that’s come up very interestingly in recent discussion between Muslim and other legal theorists is the way in which in the original context of Islamic law, I quite often provisions relating to women are more enlightened than others of their day; but you have to translate that into a setting where actually that whole area, the rights and liberties of women has moved on and the principle, the vision, which animates the Islamic legal provision needs broadening because of that… So how does the law engage critically and intelligently — the law of the land — with the custom, the imperatives, the principles of distinctive religious communities? It’s a large question, much larger than the question about Islam and i think it’s a question which the Church can quite reasonably be involved in thinking about.”

When we become concerned with our own individual survival, with the survival of our group, our belief, we are being divisive and so threaten the survival of the whole. The violence and conflict we are witnessing is a dramatisation of the inner violence of humanity. We, are not individuals, separate. What happens to us happens to all of life. Physically we might live isolated in our secluded homes, screening our domestic violence from the rest of the world but psychologically we are inseparable from the whole of mankind. The poisonous fumes of our Inner turbulence seep through the collective consciousness of humanity. The violence within us… is the very source of danger and destruction.”

The Master chuckled and then asked the young man to take another handful of salt and put it in the lake. The two walked in silence to the nearby lake and when the young man swirled his handful of salt into the lake, the Master said, “Now drink from the lake.” As the water dripped down the young man’s chin, the Master asked, “How does it taste?” “Good!” remarked the young man. “Do you taste the salt?” asked the Master. “No”, said the young man. The Master sat beside this troubled young man, took his hands, and said, “The pain of life is pure salt; no more, no less. The amount of pain in life remains the same, exactly the same. H1N1 Influenza A (2009) is the first pandemic influenza of 21st century affecting more than more than four lac people in more than 180 countries across the globe in 2009. The flu broke in Mexico in the month of March and then affected U.S. and after that it spread across the globe. H1N1 (2009) influenza have a mutation of pig, bird and humans which has made it more dangerous and fatal compared to previous occurrence of H1N1 (1918).
The pandemic outbreak of the influenza opened the gates for the drugs such as Tamiflu in the initial phase for the curing of the disease but the following phase will see a shift from curing to prevention. Thus, arise the requirement for the vaccine for the treatment of H1N1. H1N1 vaccine market is the forecast for the upcoming vaccines for the prevention of the disease among the unaffected population. The vaccines market is classified for the intramuscular vaccines and intranasal vaccines. Intramuscular will cater 80-85% of market revenues and the remaining will be tapped by the intranasal vaccines. The initial lot of vaccines will be of egg based and cell based manufacturing. The market forecast is from late 2009 as the first lot of doses are expected to be rolled out in the first week of October 2009.
The first movers of the in the vaccines market are Glaxo Smith Kline (GSK), Novartis, CSL, Medimmune, Baxter, Sinovec and Sanofi Pastuer. Medimmune is the only producer of the intranasal vaccine whereas other companies are expected to come out with intramuscular vaccines. The companies have got approvals for their first lots from the governments of the various countries such as U.S., U.K., France, China, Denmark and Australia. The involvement of government bodies, increased awareness about prevention and pandemic situation of the influenza is driving the market for the vaccines.
Due to intensive ongoing research and technology introduction, the market players are compelled to understand the market dynamics, innovations, pricing, products, marketing and regulatory framework of the market.
The global H1N1 Influenza vaccine market is estimated to be of 676 million in 2009 with first lot of doses being commercialized on 30th September’ 2009. The market will see a high CAGR for the next two years i.e. the market is expected to be at $7.03 billion in 2011 with a CAGR of 222.4% from 2009 to 2011. However, the very high CAGR will settle down by 2012 to 30% for the period of 2009 to 2012. The reason for the sudden settle down of the growth is that it is expected that most of the world population will be immunized by the end of 2011.

Egar ‘Being Bullied’
EGAR Educational Games And Resources
Everyday children, teenagers and young people are being bullied! Why?
Probably because it was accepted childhood behaviour years ago; although today it is one of the most talked about topics of concern among adults, parents/carer’s, teachers, youth workers, mentors and counsellors. The serious social and emotional affect it has on children and young people is now thought about in-depth, especially as extremely serious consequences of being bullied has reached devastating affects with young people committing suicide because of the trauma of it.
As adults we know what it can feel like to be bossed around and bullied by our work colleagues, friends or family and we have had to adopt and learn life coping skills to help us deal with this; so to be a child or young person having to cope with bullying is a very challenging and confusing place to be. Being bullied can make people feel very lonely, isolated with their self esteem at an all time low as they begin to feel the power of the bully. Up to half of all children are bullied at some point during school time.
The Children Act 2004 – This Act set out the framework for delivering children’s services that professionals must work towards. The ‘Every Child Matters’ five outcomes are:
- BE HEALTHY
- STAY SAFE
- ENJOY AND ACHIEVE
- MAKE A POSITIVE CONTRIBUTION
- ACHIEVE ECONOMIC WELL-BEING
The support system needed, must be put in place for these positive outcomes to be supported throughout school life and Bullying or a Bully is not accepted within these outcomes. Schools now have to ‘co-operate to improve well-being’ and to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people. The Office for Standards in Education (OFSTED) for Children’s Services and Skills, inspect and evaluate how schools are contributing to meeting the ECM outcomes.
Recognising bullying behaviour and doing something about it can also be very confusing for a child. Especially if children know they are being bullied, they may actually think this is how life is and some people can and do behave in this way and that it is acceptable. It is our responsibility as adults and staff to stop that confusion and be able to focus in to the changing behaviour of the child who is being bullied as well as the bully; especially if they are not prepared to tell or are frightened to tell someone it is happening.
Below is some of the tell-tale, spotting signs that a child is being bullied:-
Not wanting to go to school, starting to truant or not socialising.
They may become very quiet in their behaviour and shut themselves away in another room, feeling very unhappy.
They may complain of not feeling well, have stomach aches or headaches.
They may seem agitated and not sure of themselves.
They may start to feel sick and tremble.
They may not want to use the phone or computer as texts or email notes are sent to them telling them nasty things.
These are some of the signs and these are what we must look for and focus in on to support the child who is being bullied. A gentle talk may help but sometimes if the child is extremely bullied the bully may have threatened them not to tell or something could happen to them. A state of flux and anxiety ensues and the child will look quite unwell, so intervention has to be done appropriately for bullying to be prevented! The first port of call as an educator would be to contact the parent, or vice versa, if the parent contacts the educator then they can talk through a support system as to how they will help the child being bullied, putting into place a coping skills system for them, hopefully during this support the bully’s name will emerge and a system to stop the bullying as in an Anti-Bullying Policy, that schools must legally have in place for immediate action to be taken.
The Anti-Bullying policy recommendations could involve:
- Giving a member of staff, specific responsibility for Anti-Bullying work.
- Auditing current practices and prioritising change to the policy.
- Developing Anti-Bullying Policies as part of the School Behaviour Policy.
- Making sure the policy covers all forms of bullying especially relating it to Special Educational Needs and Disabilities along with Cyber Bullying.
- The policy should also refer to the bullying of staff as well as pupils.
- The policy should explore all available support e.g. Behaviour and Attendance Consultant.
As bullying can be taking place for a few days, weeks or months it is important to try to establish what has caused it, it may be jealousy, wanting to take the attention away from a popular child, or a gifted child who is doing well academically as well as a child who is good at physical sports, dance or football. It may be a quiet child who does not mix or socialise well that could be a bully target. On reflection, staff must always be on the look out and focus into the group/groups social mix and not let a lonely child or special needs/disabled child be a target. It could also be race, religious or homophobic bullying taking place, whatever the reason it must be immediately sorted out and a vigil eye kept on the parties whilst working through the problems, along with professional guidance and support explored when necessary.
Bullying takes place in many places outside of school or youth club settings and in each place it is happening it must be acted on in the same way, immediately, with no time to waste in supporting, intervening and preventing bullying. There are many leaflets, DVD’s and guidance documents that can be sought from the DirectGov or DCSF websites or from the Anti-Bullying Alliance website.
EGAR Educational Games And Resources will be launching their new ‘BEING BULLIED’ Let’s Get Talking ‘Choice’ Discussion Card game at the NEC Birmingham Education Show in March 2010. This is a structured, supervised card set, an alternative talking tool for educators, mentors, youth counsellors and parents/carer’s to use to communicate and educate children and young people about ‘Being Bullied’. The game has been thought about in-depth and covers the outcomes of the ECM framework. It explores many issues about bullying and gives children and young people a chance to talk openly and safely about it. There is much interest in the game already.
The Chair of the London Assembly, Darren Johnson has visited EGAR and was highly impressed with the quality of the resources and has now given this fabulous endorsement to them.
‘EGAR produce interactive educational games for young people, which are designed to stimulate structured discussion on vital topics for young people, such as knives, climate change and drugs. This excellent project deserves much wider recognition and I would love to see it made available to all London based Youth Services and schools’.

In the Bible: the Food of All Birds is Green Plant
This is a new series (1-30) of Verse No. in the Bible versus the Quran.
Verse No. 30 in the Old Testament says: And to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the heavens and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food.” And it was so.
Verse No. 30 in the New Testament says: They told him, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for so it is written by the prophet:
Verse No. 30 in the Noble Quran says: and if ye are in doubt concerning that which we reveal unto our servant (Muhammad), then produce a Surah of the like thereof, and call your witness beside Allah if ye are truthful.
————————
The verse No. 30 in the Old Testament is Genesis 1:30
In the article 29, Genesis 1:29 says: Then God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you;
Consequently, the Bible determines man’s food; it is every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it.
In the verse Genesis 1:29, Herbs and fruits must be man’s food, including corn, and all the products of the earth; it seems likely that the Bible is in favor of the vegetarians.
Furthermore, Genesis 1:30 determines also the food of all the animals and all the birds, the verse says:
And to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the heavens and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food.” And it was so.
This indicates that the food of all the beasts of the earth, all the birds of the heavens and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life are the green plants.
It is clear then that the green plants are the food of all the animals and all the birds.
Because birds have a high temperature and use lots of energy, they need to eat a lot of food, compared with their weight.
Birds eat different foods. Some birds eat green plants. Other birds eat fish, insects, small reptiles and mice. Birds of prey eat mammals and other birds. Some birds are scavengers and eat the bodies of creatures that have died.
But the Bible in Genesis 1:30 determines the food of the birds, that is “every green plant”.
As for the beasts, every kid knows what they eat.
But the Bible too decides that the food of ALL the beasts is “every green plant”.
However, and to be honest, in Ezekiel 39:17 God will have birds and beasts eat human flesh and drink human blood…
————————
The verse No. 30 in the New Testament is Matthew 2:5
The verse No. 29 in the New Testament is Matthew 2:4
In the articles 26-29, Matthew 2:1-4 say:
Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, magi from the east arrived in Jerusalem, saying: Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him. When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.
When he had called together all the people’s chief priests and teachers of the law, he asked them where the Christ was to be born.
In this article, Matthew 2:5 says:
They told him, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for so it is written by the prophet:
This is the second prophet who is unidentified and not mentioned by name; Matthew 2:5 mentions without his name. The first prophet is found in Matthew 1:22
————————
Verse No. 30 in the Noble Quran is 2:23,
Chapter 2 is Surah AL-BAQARA (THE COW),
Verses 2:1-5 are talking about the believers. (articles 8-12)
Verses 2:6-7 are talking about the disbelievers. (articles 13-14)
Verses 2:8-20 are talking about the hypocrites. (articles 15-27)
The address of verses 2:21-24 is general to mankind.
In articles 28, verse 2:21 says:
O mankind! worship your guardian-lord, who created you and those who came before you, that you may have the chance to learn righteousness(so that you will be cautious)
In articles 29, verse 2:22 says:
Who (Allah) made the earth a resting place for you and the heaven a canopy and (who) sends down rain from the cloud then brings forth with it subsistence for you of the fruits; therefore do not set up rivals to Allah while you know.
In this article, Verse 2:23 says:
and if ye are in doubt concerning that which we reveal unto our servant (Muhammad), then produce a Surah of the like thereof, and call your witness beside Allah if ye are truthful.
The meaning of verse 2:23:
And if you are in doubt, in uncertainty, concerning what Allah has revealed through the Archangel Gabriel unto His servant, Muhammad, whom you accuse of fabrication of the Quran, that it is from Allah, then bring a Surah like it, then produce a Surah like it in its eloquence, fine arrangement and its bestowal of knowledge of the Unseen.
And call your witnesses, seek help from those other gods that you worship, it is said that this refers to their leaders that they follow, besides Allah, that is, other than Him, so that it can be seen, if you are truthful, in your claim that Muhammad speaks it from himself, that Muhammad invents the Quran. So do this, for you are also fluent speakers of Arabic like him. When they could not do this, Allah said… (See next article).
A Surah of the Quran is a chapter (a passage) with a beginning and end made up of a minimum of three verses)
It is fruitful to know that Chapter 108, Surah AL-KAUTHER (ABUNDANCE) is composed only of 10 Arabic words.
It follows that Allah challenges mankind by producing 10 Arabic words like it (like the Quran) in its eloquence, fine understanding and its assignment of knowledge of the Unseen.
As far as I know, this is the First Linguistics Challenge in the History of Mankind. No author (s) in the history of mankind has the courage to generate a challenge like that. Thousands of scholars came from the Western countries to the East, they have studied thoroughly the Arabic language, some of them wrote books and encyclopedias in Arabic. However, none of them tried to produce 10 Arabic words to beat this unbeaten challenge. Also, they did not tell the people in the West about this unbeaten challenge. Have you ever heard about it?

Definition Flush Out

Achieve Greater Muscle Definition
When most bodybuilders first enter a gym, their goal isn’t to become ripped. They don’t care about proportions. They could care less about etching definition and striations into muscle groups. Their goal is typically to get BIG. Once they achieve this goal, and compete in a bodybuilding show or two, they begin to realize that while pure unadulterated size is fun to have, it’s the well-built bodybuilders with etched in striations and detail that win bodybuilding shows.
When the goal inevitably changes from adding pure size to adding definition and detail, a new set of rules and practices must come into play. Here are a few changes to the “get big!” strategy, which refines it to “get bigger AND better”.
Higher rep ranges
Employing a rep range of 12 to 20 allows the muscle group to recruit slow-twitch fibers which are typically neglected during the standard bodybuilding rep scheme of 8 to 12 reps. This also flushes an additional amount of blood into the region which provides the region with new levels of amino acids being present during the post-workout anabolic window healing period.
Train for pump
When trying to build new mass, many bodybuilders attempt to constantly train to failure. This is a good approach, as it figuratively destroys the tendons, muscle, and supporting muscle infrastructure and inspires new growth. However, when attempting to etch detail into a muscle group, the goal should change form muscle group annihilation to muscle group stimulation. Train for a pump - the maximum amount of blood in a muscle group that it can hold.
Visualization
The mental aspect of bodybuilding is often ignored in this sport of counting calories, reps, sets, and pounds. However, mentally focusing upon the muscle being trained, and adjusting exercise movement and flexing motions to meet this focus, allows a bodybuilder to maximize the rewards reaped from each repetition. Visualize the muscle being engorged with blood, and the subconscious actions of your body during the exercise movement will make it a reality.
