Wouldn’t the immune system already be amped up and creating fighters to defeat the previous virus? I dont think the body makes completely different things to fight different viruses…aren’t they all the same antibodies or whatever there called that fight whatever the invader is? man i should go to medical school.
To answer your question No there not all the same antibodies. What Im trying to say is that once your body is sick from a cold for example, it fights if off little by little. Once its done fighting it, it will remember how it killed the cold and program itself with that knowledge . That way next time your body gets a cold it doesnt have to think about how to kill it, it remembers how it did it the first time and therefore can kill the cold faster. This doesnt mean that now it knows how to kill every bacteria or infection that your body comes across…it only kills a bacteria faster if it has already come across it sometime in your life. Guillain Barre Syndrome - Causes, Symptoms and Treatment Methods
Guillain-Barre syndrome (also known as acute inflammatory or post-infective polyradiculoneuropathy) is a rare but serious disease of the peripheral nervous system. GBS can affect anybody. It can strike at any age and both are equally prone to the disorder. It often follows a minor infection, usually a respiratory (lung) infection or gastrointestinal (gut) infection. It can become life-threatening if the respiratory muscles are affected. GBS is believed to result from an autoimmune response, both humoral and cell mediated, to a recent infection or any of a long list of medical problems. The syndrome may occur at any age, but is most common in people of both between the ages 30 and 50. It is frequently severe and usually exhibits as an ascending paralysis noted by weakness in the legs that spreads to the upper limbs and the face along with complete loss of deep tendon reflexes. Adults are more commonly affected than children. Otherwise, recovery takes several months, but most people recover almost completely. In some cases, GBS can be fatal. The first symptoms of this disorder include varying degrees of weakness or tingling sensations in the legs. In many instances, the weakness and abnormal sensations spread to the arms and upper body. It may occur within days or weeks after a viral infection such as influenza (flu) or diarrhea. It may be triggered by pregnancy or a medical procedure, such as a vaccination or minor surgery, or have no evident reason for developing. Because the cause of GBS is unknown, there’s no way to prevent the disease from occurring.

This explains why women have more cancer in the breast than elsewhere in their bodies. The breasts are the most clothing constricted of any organ. It also explains why women have more breast cancer than men, and why breast cancer is only a problem in cultures in which bras are worn. Where there are no bras, there is virtually no breast cancer.
We had written about this, and the results of our 1991-93 Bra and Breast Cancer Study, in our book Dressed To Kill: The Link Between Breast Cancer and Bras (ISCD Press). Our study was conducted on approximately 4700 U.S. women, about half of whom had breast cancer. We asked these women about their past bra-wearing attitudes and habits. What we discovered was that the women in the cancer group had a history of wearing bras tighter and longer than did the non-cancer group. In fact, many women in the cancer group slept with their bras on. Almost none were bra-free. This differed greatly from the non-cancer group.
When the results were analyzed, they revealed that women who wear bras over 12 hours daily have a dramatically increased risk of developing breast cancer compared to bra-free women. In fact, bra-free women have about the same chances of developing breast cancer as men have, and this is over 100 times less than that for women wearing bras 18-24 hours daily. When you consider that smoking increases the incidence of lung cancer 20-30 times, this makes the link between breast cancer and bras 4-5 times greater than the link between cigarettes and lung cancer!
Of course, the easiest way for a woman to determine if her own bra is damaging her breasts is to go without a bra for a while and feel the difference. That is what the Breast Cancer Prevention Project is about. You simply have to commit to being bra-free for one month. Your body will tell you the results.
For the thousands of women who have tried this, the results are spectacular. Having bound their breasts since puberty, the feeling of breast freedom sometimes may seem strange at first. But within days, the breasts have their chance to drain of congestion and excess fluid. Tenderness ends. Menstrual breast pain may disappear altogether. Cysts vanish. It’s like a miracle.
Interestingly, some women have become so conditioned to wearing a bra that they feel uncomfortable without one. That is because their breasts have become reliant on the bra for support, causing the loss of function of the musculature and ligaments that normally support the breasts. In other words, bras cause the breasts to be weak and droop. There are many large breasted women of all ages who have firm, healthy, trouble-free breasts because they have never worn a bra.
The congestion of the breasts by the bra also increases breast weight, since the breasts are essentially swollen by edema. This can cause the breasts to feel painful when the bra is removed. Fortunately, once the bra is no longer worn, the breasts can decongest and can develop their tone again. Many women reported that their breasts lifted up within months of ending the bra habit.

Historical Naming Conventions for Colored Diamonds Can be Deceptive
In the earlier days the coloured diamonds were not named as they are now. During the olden days the coloured diamonds were named after the specific location from where they were found. This lead to lot of confusion since there were many locations from where specific coloured diamonds were mined.
A near-colourless diamond would be called ‘Golconda’ since most of the diamonds that were found in this mining area in India were colorless. Some others referred to other colorless diamonds as ‘River’. This was because stones recovered near the riverbed are colorless most of the times. Outside of India, the Jagerfonstein mine in South Africa also produced colorless diamonds with some blue florescence and these diamonds were called ‘jagers’.
Dimaonds with a yellow shade were assumed to be from the Cape of Good Hope in South Africa and therefore were called as ‘Cape’, according to this system. However, the produce from Cape of Good Hope had variations that ranged from a light tint to dark yellow and these were then differentiated with names like top silver cape, light cape, silver cape, dark cape or plain and simple cape.
It is fairly obvious from the above description how the historic naming convention was not perfect and allowed for various misunderstandings and errors in communication. When a specific diamond term like jager is used , no one could be sure about the level of blue tint that the colourless diamond may have.
A single location or source of diamonds does not always produce diamonds of exactly the same color and quality. There are differences that can occur in the same batch of diamonds as well. Therefore, even when one is referring to a yellow diamond as top silver cape, there are chances that the quality of the diamond may vary. This is also very obvious when we study the characteristics of diamonds that has been produced by the Premier mine. Even though most of the diamonds that come from this mine were light yellow with strong blue fluorescence, the same mine has produced famous colorless diamonds like Cullinan and the Premier Rose. The world’s largest faceted diamond, the yellow-brown Golden Jubilee also comes from the same mines.
Even when a colored diamond from a location is classified by the specific color, there are chances for communication lapses. Therefore, interpretations of the Golconda colorless diamond can be different based on the previous experience that the jeweler may have had with diamonds from that mine.
Descriptive colors like blue-white, gem-white, pinkish-red, and bluish-green can also be misleading because there is no guarantee or explanation of the amount of each specific color. The blue-white tag has been misused the maximum and it has been used to describe colorless diamonds as well as yellow diamonds. In fact the high incidence of misuse of this name led to the Federal Trade Commission in the US to make a statement with regards to misuse of the word and the attempt to use it in fraud cases. The ‘top light brown’ is another name that has caused great confusion by this naming system. This is mainly used to refer to the small diamonds that Indian manufacturers make. These diamonds look almost white when studded though they have a slight brown colour when seen from the table.
With all the disadvantages of the older naming style, the same was used for a fair amount of time. But with better technology and systematization the color grading system was developed. The modern system does not depend on subjective interpretations of words and colors like ‘canary’, ‘river’ or ‘purplish’. This new grading system also taken into account various narrow levels of colors and therefore each delta hue is classified.
The greatest aspect of this system is the fact that it leaves no ambiguity in the mind of the people involved in trade about what is being referred to when a grading nomenclature is used to define the color of the diamond. The F-colored diamond has the same meaning for everyone irrespective of their past associations, country and subjective interpretations.

My 23 month old has the flu. Since ‘everyone’ has the flu right now they won’t test unless your kid is knocking on death’s door, so the only thing the doctor told me is if your kid is sick for 72 hours its the flu and for 5-7+ days its the piggy flu. Since we are at about 68 hours and not seeing improvement I am guessing my daughter has the piggy flu.
She has had fevers around 102.7 that don’t reduce with tylenol or motrin, she is achey, coughing, sore throat, runny nose, won’t drink, vomits, cries all day, and is so clingy. Oh, and she drools pools to the point where she can soak through any cloth in 2 minutes.
