Fluorite Crystal Healing Properties

Crystal Energy
Crystal energy can be used to increase the energies that help healing the body and mind. Unbalances in the body’s energy field can be caused by the mind focusing on negative aspects. Crystal energy helps change negative energies and replaces them with positive energies.
Crystal energy affects your body by balancing your body’s energy. I will not be touching here on the use of crystals healing by means of a healer; however, I will focus on the use of crystal energy and the theory behind healing crystals and gemstones.
The theory behind crystal energy is to do with the Quantum theory. The Quantum theory considers the Universe and all things that make it, as existing in an empty space with forms of energy moving within each space. Of course this includes our physical body which is a space with energy flowing infinitely through its own space. Your body’s energy is used when you breath and when you show emotions and thoughts.
The healing processes of crystals and gemstones are considered a special flow of energy that change the way the destructive energy flows. This special flow of energy can be helped by the use of healing crystals and gemstones to improve and speed up the healing processes. Crystals and gemstones can be used as a tool to give the healing flow of energy an important boost in adding power to achieve cures.
Crystal energy and crystals are a tool that can enhance not just your health, but anything you undertake. Although crystals and gemstones occupy a different space than our body and mind, within the Universe there occur an interaction between your body and mind and the energy forms. This interaction is executed through shared properties resulting from the energy flow.
For example, the electromagnetic properties of a Quartz crystal share the same type of electromagnetic properties of the body, thus somehow the crystal’s electromagnetic energy flows can positively interact with the same electromagnetic energy flow of the human body.
The quantum theory helps to explain the effect of crystals in our psychological and biological life. Even disregarding the Quantum theory, the use of healing crystals and gemstones has been a beneficial practice used by people throughout centuries. This practice is very beneficial for the healing processes.
Crystals and their colors correspond to chakra points in your body. These have been found to have cleansing and energizing properties that interact with the body causing them to work on problem areas. Appling the energy of the crystals and gemstones to the body enhances the cleansing and energizing effect to the body.
Below is a list of the chakras and most popular crystals used in healing.
Root Chakra: Jasper (bloodstone), garnet, onyx and rubies.
Second Chakra: Hematite and moonstone.
Third Chakra: Citrine, amber and topaz.
Fourth Chakra: Rose quartz and Chinese Fluorite.
Fifth Chakra: Aquamarine and turquoise.
Six Chakra: Sapphire, turquoise and amethyst.
Seventh Chakra: Clear quartz and amethyst.

Engine Maintenance - Top Tips Before Taking Your Car On Holiday
If you’ve decided you’re going to stay in the country for your holiday this year and you’re planning on driving, you’re going to need to perform a bit of basic engine maintenance first. There’s no substitute for a professional service, and if you’ve noticed anything out of the ordinary get it checked and sorted before you leave.
Engine Oil
The first place to start would be with the engine oil. Engine oil is essential as it not only helps carry heat away from the hotter parts of the engine but it also keeps vital parts of the engine lubricated and prevents friction which in turn helps prevent corrosion, if you notice any leaks or engine oil seeping out from pipes you need to get your car seen by a trained mechanic. When topping up the engine oil, only ever use the viscosity recommended by the manufacture for your car, do not buy engine oil for a petrol engine of you drive a diesel just because it was on special offer, your engine will not thank you for this. Engine oil needs to be not only checked but also changed on a regular basis, old oil can get clogged or contaminated which means not only is it not dong it’s job, it’s also going to damage your engine too. Try to change the engine oil a few times a year or about every 3,000 miles, you’ll need to change it more often if you do a lot of stop start driving rather than long commuting trips.
Engine Coolant
Engine coolant also helps keep your engine cool by carrying the heat away from the hotter parts of the engine, we all know that anti freeze stops vital engine fluids freezing in cold weather, but it also helps stop those same fluids over heating in the hotter weather, like the engine oil, it is also there to help prevent corrosion. You ideally want the fluid in your radiator to be half water then half anti freeze. If we do get some hot weather this summer and you’re stuck in a traffic jam in it, your engine will appreciate the anti freeze running through the radiator. Again like the engine oil, if you notice a leak get it seen to straight away by someone who knows what they’re doing.
Transmission Fluid
Transmission fluids will also need to be checked, although this may not be as common or as easy as checking the engine oil, it’s still imperative it’s done. Some of the signs the transmission fluid needs to be checked could be gear changes not being very smooth, or the brakes not performing as well as they should be, if too much water gets into the brake fluid, the brakes wont work at all and so should be checked at least once a year. If your car has power steering, this fluid will need to be checked too. Although this may not seem as serious as brake fluid, it’s still essential it’s topped up and checked regularly, your steering wheel is just as important as your brakes.
Windscreen Washer
Another simple thing you should check is your windscreen washer, those of you who are a little more optimistic may be hoping you wont need to use your windscreen wipers whilst you’re on holiday, but it’s not just rain that could cause you to need them. If you’re driving somewhere particularly dry or dusty or even if the guy in front hasn’t got his windscreen washers set right and ends up getting more washer over your windscreen than his. If you’re not sure where you’re going you may need to clear your windscreen instantly and having no windscreen wash can prove very dangerous.
Water
One last fluid that everyone can afford is water, always keep a big bottle in your boot, you never know when your engine or one of your passengers may need it.

MYTH: Sunbathing Is Bad for Your Health
It seems like I’ve been talking forever about the enormous benefits of increasing your vitamin D levels and sun exposure.
Studies over the last seventy years have linked low levels of vitamin D with various health problems including cancer, osteoporosis and osteomalacia in adults (resulting in hip and vertebral fractures), rickets in children, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, hearing loss, high blood pressure, psoriasis, heart disease, and diabetes.
As I discussed in the previous section, studies have confirmed that vitamin D and sun exposure can protect against infectious diseases.
Yep, you read right, read it again! And you have always heard that sun could could cause cancer - right? Well if you backed yourself like a potato in the sun that is true. All you need is 20 minutes a day, but read on for the full story.
If this research isn’t enough motivation to make you want to increase your vitamin D levels, maybe some of the more recent research linking vitamin D deficiency and cancer will make you change your mind It has been estimated that every year between 50,000 and 63,000 individuals in this country die prematurely from various cancers caused by insufficient vitamin D.
Researchers have determined that providing 1,000 IU of vitamin D for all American adults would cost $1 billion a year. Vitamin D supplementation would reduce the occurrence of various cancers by 30 to 50 percent, and the expected annual economic benefits for cancer alone would be in the range of $16-25 billion. (Photochem Photobiol 05;81:1276-1286) (Recent Results Cancer Res 07;174:225-234) (Am JPublic Health 06;96(2):252-261)
So let’s see here, spend a Billion to save a possible $25 Billion. Sounds like a no-brainer to me!
The total economic burden in 2004 due to vitamin D deficiency from inadequate UVB exposure, diet, and supplements was estimated at $40 to 56 billion. (Photochem Photobiol 05;81(6):1276-1286).
Staying out of the sun doubles your risk of prostate cancer. (Cancer Res 05;65(12):5470-5479) .Studies have shown that women with the lowest levels of vitamin D have a five times higher risk of developing breast cancer. (Bur J Cancer 05;41 (8):1164-1169).
Chronic pain is associated with very low vitamin D levels. Studies also showed that once vitamin D levels were returned to normal the pain was reduced dramatically or even disappeared. (Ann Rheum Vis 05;64(8):1217-1219)
Yet people continue to believe that sun exposure is bad for your health and causes (not prevents) cancer. As a result, we’re in the midst of a full-blown epidemic of vitamin D deficiency, one that’s gone unnoticed by most . researchers and health care providers.
The problem is getting worse every year and, for some reason, no one seems to be alerting the public or doing anything to correct the situation. Do you agree with me that this is very hard to understand?
Obviously, since there’s no money to be made in recommending “heliotherapy” or sunbathing, there will be a push to sell drugs and prescription forms of synthetic vitamin D. After all, the public has already been brainwashed into believing that exposure to the sun, at practically any level, is dangerous. So the logical solution would be to simply use another pharmaceutical product. Here we go again, another reason that “big pharma” uses to promote something that is supposed to resolve a problem, i.e. vitamin D deficiency, but the side effects out way the benefits.
For the dwindling few of us who still can use a little common sense in these matters, sunlight and vitamin D-containing foods and supplements can be a godsend. When it comes to exposure to the sun, keep in mind we weren’t designed to spend our lives hiding in caves or under shady trees. All of the research, and common sense, tells us that direct sunlight is one of the primary sources of this essential vitamin.
It really doesn’t require that much exposure to reap the benefits. One 20-minute full-body exposure to the summer sun will result in putting 20,000 IU into the body within 48 hours. (This dosage above for colds and flu is about the equivalent of spending two days at the beach.) As I’ll explain later, however, if you’re using sunscreen, sun block, or cholesterol-lowering drugs, you’ll probably get far less than 20,000 IU.
It’s also interesting to note that a sunscreen with an SPF rating of only ‘8′ (don’t even think about SPF 30 or 45) reduces vitamin D production by 95 percent. ( Cancer Epidemiol Biomarkers Prev 04;13:1502-1508)
One study involving eight light-skinned individuals showed that a single dose of sunlight, which was just enough to produce mild skin reddening the next day, elevated vitamin D production and cathelicidin levels. U Invest 05;125(5):1072-1074) Most of us don’t have the luxury of sunbathing regularly, so supplementation is a necessity.
This is especially true if you live above 38 degrees north latitude-which runs approximately through Baltimore, St. Louis, Denver, and San Francisco where the sun is too weak from mid-fall through winter into mid-spring to stimulate vitamin D production in any significant quantity. And, as we get older our skin is less efficient at producing vitamin D. Excessive fat layers decrease vitamin D production. Also, if you have darker skin the melanin blocks the penetration of the sun’s UV rays and lowers vitamin D production. Some studies have shown that to produce adequate amounts of vitamin D naturally those with darker skin require 50 times more sun exposure than fairer-skinned people.
Vitamin D, then you’ll definitely need to take additional D from food sources or as an additional supplement. (Milk and milk products don’t seem to be that effective at preventing vitamin D deficiencies, despite the fact that many have been “fortified” with the vitamin.)
Safety Above All
There’s an almost hysterical fear of vitamin D overdosing, when in reality the risk is very small. It’s been estimated, from all the research, that our body needs 4,000 IU of vitamin D a day from all sources (sunlight, food, etc.). Forget the RDA (required daily allowance) that the FDA publishes. Potential toxicity may start at 10,000 IU a day for an extended period, but top researchers feel that number may actually be closer to 40,000 IU a day. After all, remember your body can easily make 20,000 IU after only a few minutes at the beach.
The real problem is allowing these deficiencies to go uncorrected. To make matters worse, just recently we’ve started to see a wave of new pharmaceutical industry-backed “research” warning that nutritional supplements are not only worthless but possibly even harmful to your health. Although 70-plus years of research continues to prove the safety and need for these fat-soluble compounds, the media loves to focus on the alleged dangers of their “toxicity” when taken at too high a dosage.
Our vitamin D levels play a very significant role in our overall health.

Cdc Swine Flu Information Sheet
Why can’t asthma sufferers get the swine flu vaccine?
I’ve read that asthma sufferers can’t get the swine flu vaccine from
a CDC information sheet given out at school. It didn’t explain why. I’m asthmatic, but didn’t suffer
from the flu (I don’t think I did anyway..). I’m just curious as to why
exactly asthma sufferers aren’t supposed to use the vaccine.
I think you misread the info sheet. Asthmatics SHOULD get it. You must have been reading about the nasal spray H1N1 vaccine. The nose spray is a LIVE virus and asthmatics shouldn’t get the live virus. They SHOULD get the injection (shot). The injection H1N1 vaccine is an inactive or dead virus.
See this link below from the CDC. Specifically see the 5th paragraph.

Discount Fluorescent Lighting

An Overview of Lighting Methods
Indoor lighting has pretty much been dominated by the traditional light bulb during the 20th century and into the early years of this century. However, the questionable cost effectiveness of the light bulb combined with a growing concern about our potential resources in terms of meeting the needs of this and future generations have combined to prompt the lighting industry to look for alternatives to the tried and true traditional method of lighting the American home and American industry.
Michael Siminovitch, director of the California Lighting Technology Center at the University of California at Davis indicated that within the next half-decade our homes will be illuminated by a combination of incandescent, fluorescents and LEDs.
The traditional fluorescent light, most often associated with work-bench lighting, has taken on a new look with a wide variety of styles and configurations that complement the décor of just about any home. The LED has also begun to take its place as a mainstay because of its long life and versatility. The LED can be used to provide the kind of decorative lighting that was only a dream less than a decade ago.
Siminovitch says that “The lamp aisle in stores is already a mile long. It’s gonna be confusing.”
Following are some comparisons between the different types of lighting available in today’s market.
LEDs
Light-emitting diodes are solid-state semiconductors in which light shines from a chip instead of through a bulb or tube. A more recent innovation, the OLEDs, is made with organic laminate and glows when energized.
Alarm clock LED displays were the first application of the multipurpose LEDs used today in a wide variety of applications.
One of the big advantages of LEDs is that they can be activated instantly, can be regulated to dim with almost no difficulty, and, perhaps most importantly can be used to focus light on a small area such as a desk. LEDs are ideal for a variety of purposes because of their compact size. For example, more and more public buildings and even some homes, use LEDs to provide staircase illumination. If you’ve purchased a home appliance such as a microwave or range within the past few years, you will no doubt have LED technology incorporated into the displays.
Another major advantage of the LED is that they use about one-tenth the energy of a typical incandescent bulb and last as long as a decade. LEDs also don’t need the mercury found in fluorescents which makes them a non-toxic source of lighting.
On the negative side, at present, there are not too many people who are willing to spend the money necessary to purchase an LED light bulb and if they are, they might have some difficulty finding a store that carries them.
Incandescent light bulbs
The old standby, dating from the beginning of the last century hasn’t changed much in terms of its basic technology. The incandescent light bulb removes oxygen from a glass chamber, in which a tungsten wire releases light.
These light bulbs are becoming a major concern to many legislators and certain special interest groups because they are simply wasteful when it comes to the conservation of energy. In fact, some reliable sources suggest that the traditional light bulb could become a thing of the past in the United States in ten years or less and even sooner in Australia and in some parts of Canada. Carbon emissions and global warming are already a major international concern and the traditional light bulb is one of the culprits according to some energy experts.
The positive side of using the traditional light bulb is that they are inexpensive, easy to find, and can be used in a wide variety of existing lighting fixtures.
On the negative side, the typical incandescent wastes up to 90 percent of their energy as heat and last for as little as 700 hours.
Lighting makes up as much as 20 percent of power consumption in U.S. households, according to the Department of Energy. The Natural Resources Defense Council estimates that switching every home to compact fluorescent bulbs would prevent the release of 1 trillion pounds of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.
Compact fluorescent light bulbs
Fluorescent lighting involves a chemical reaction in which phosphor powder glows when energized by certain gases.
On the positive side, fluorescent lights have evolved during the past decade. They come in compact sizes as well as in a wide array of colors, sizes and shapes. Pricing is generally not an issue with these lights and most discount department stores carry a wide variety.
On the downside, it’s illegal in a number of states to dump mercury-laden fluorescent bulbs with the regular trash.
The conclusion is that we are facing significant changes in the next few years in the way we keep the home lights burning throughout the world.
