Tranny filter/ air filter on 03 legacy?

Does a 2003 legacy L, A/T, 2.5L sedan have a transmission filter or is it just a magnetic plug? Anyone know how to change all of the tranny fluid out of this car? Lastly, does this car have a cabin air filter?

Not sure about the tranny filter but If it does, you should be able to see it right next to the tranny from under the car. I guess another quick way to find out is to call your local Subaru dealer parts department. As far as draining, the only way to get all the fluid changed is to pull the pan or have the tranny flushed by a machine somewhere. A simple drain and fill will only get about 65% of the fluid out. I guess a couple drain and fills would get most of it changed for not a whole lot of money.

This is why most experienced fishermen would rather have a night trip than a day trip. However, due to the difference of environment during night fishing, if you are new to this kind of setting, then there are certain things that you should know to make your night trip a successful one.

Getting Started

Although it may seem difficult, waking up in the wee hours of the day is still possible. Additionally, you can always get the help of an alarm clock to be your wake-up call. There are some other preparations too that should be done other than being able to wake up, like preparing your bait.

It would be the best if you have already set up everything you need and have some wet-bait ready even half an hour before sun rise. It is important to remember that anchoring and cooking the bait should be finished by the time sunset arrives. The logic behind all these waking up early and preparations is that fish usually feed shallower around times like this. Where’s The Light At?

If you really want to have good results at the fastest time possible, whether it be you are fishing in fresh or salt water, try fishing around piers, which have some lights. This is because fish are very attracted to light beams that pass through the water surface in different sea depths. In general, fishing excursions usually have a very happy ending when held around lights on piers or buoys.

Use Something Large

It is also important that you use very large dry or wet flies, nymphs, and oversized streamers, if you are really interested in getting a lot of catch of those active feeders out there.

In fact, night-feeding can be easier for you when your bait is that large enough for the fish to locate. Additionally, you should remember to draw your baits gradually along the surface of the water with a jerking motion. Doing this would help attract some trout. Nevertheless, you should also bring some extra live bait and always keep the lure inside your water or boat, safely contained.

See The Signs

During night fishing, you should always try to be on guard for some signs that feeding fish are in the area. Take note that at this time, you’ll be able to hear them feeding themselves even before you see their splashes or swirls in the water. Don’t forget to chuck in your lure, as soon as possible and once you hear them breaking the surface, into the spot that you think they are in.

The causes and symptoms of depression

Depression is a complex psychological and physical symptoms. Low or sad mood is often the most prominent symptom. The most common characteristic of these symptoms is a decreased activity level in parts of the brain.

The Symptoms of depression

Depression can give one or more of these symptoms:

-Low mood level or sadness.
-The lack of joy or interest in activities once were gay.
-Pessimism.
-Feel of guilt of something without reason to be so.
-Inferiority thoughts.
-Irritability.
-Slowness in the thought process.
-Slowness in interpreting sensorial stimuli.
-Slowness of digestion or other internal physical processes, and symptoms caused by this slowness, for example inflated stomach, constipation or difficulty with urination.
-Slow physical reactions.

Depression can be a mild disease that only causes some discomfort in everyday life, but can be very serious and a person totally unable to work and may not participate in social life. In the depression of some severity, there is also an increased risk of suicide.

Depression can occur in all age classes. In teenagers lack of interest in school work, withdrawal from social life and difficult mood can be signs of depression.

THE physiological changes that cause symptoms

In depression there is a decrease in the amount of neurotransmitters in parts of central nervous system mainly deficiency of serotonin, but also, to some extent, norepinephrine, acetylcholine, dopamine or gamma-amino-butyric acid (GABA), or cells nerve do not react properly by stimulation from neurotransmitters. A neurotransmitter is a signal substance that transmits the nerve signal through the junctions between two nerve cells.

Serotonin and noradrenalin cause nerve cells to send impulses along to other nerve cells, and thus increase activity in the brain. Deficiency of these substances causes slowness in parts of the brain, and that once again causes the depressive symptoms.

The role GABA is the opposite, namely to curb some nerve impulses, mainly those causing anxiety and panic response. Lack of GABA causes higher anxiety and easier panic response. However, the lack of this transmitter also seems to cause depressive symptoms. This is due to a very high activity in some brain processes may slow other processes.

There are many causes and subtypes of depression with different physiological mechanisms involved.

TYPES OF DEPRESSION

The Depression is often divided into subtypes according to exhibited symptoms.

1. Mono-polar depression and dysthymic disorder

In depression mono-polar depressive symptoms are pure. Mild cases of mono-polar disorder that do not affect a persons ability to work and participate in social activities is often called dysthymic disorder.

2. Bipolar disorder (manic-depressive) disorder and cyclothymic

In this condition there are periods with symptoms of depression - the depressive phase, alternating with periods of elevated mood level with increased mental and physical activity - the manic phase. In the manic phase, the person affected also sleeps poorly and has concentration difficulties. A mild form of this disease is called cyclothymic disorder.

3. Manic

This condition is characterized by abnormally elevated mood, by unrealistic optimism, by lack of sleep and hyperactive behavior. Many psychiatrists believe that this disorder is more than the same disease as bipolar disorder where the depressive face has not happened yet.

Sometimes the physical symptoms of depression are the sole or dominant, such as: digestive problems, constipation, difficulty with urination, slow response to sensorial stimuli or slow physical reactions.

CAUSES OF DEPRESSION

Two or more factors may have an effect at the time of causing depression. Depression can be an independent disease, or some other illness. Depression is also divided into subtypes different according to the cause.

1. Reactive depression

This disease is simply a consequence of psychological stress, fight stress physical or mental, without proper rest or sleep over a long period of time. The effort will be spent only the nervous system or deplete the body of necessary nutrients for the nervous system to function properly.

2. Endogenous depression

When there has been a stressful time, effort or lack rest that can explain the condition, the condition is often called endogenous depression. Heredity is thought to be a part of the cause.

3. Depression by physical illness

depressive symptoms or depression can be a symptom of physical illness. This is perhaps the most common cause of depression. In general there are three categories of diseases that occur with depression:

Diseases often associated with depression are: Heart disease, illness Parkinson's, stroke, hypertension or Cushing's syndrome.

Mononucleosis or flu may trigger depression that continues after of the infection has disappeared.

Due to lack of thyroid hormones, hypothyroidism, metabolism in the whole body is slowed, including production of neurotransmitters in the brain. Therefore depression is an important symptom of hypothyroidism.

4. Depressive symptoms as a result of lifestyle wrong

A lifestyle in general are very wrong, exercise less, the excess of stimulants such as alcohol, coffee or tea, also less nutrients important and too much sugar and fat may give depressive symptoms, as well as physical problems.

5. Postpartum depression

Women often have a period of depression after pregnancy and berth of the baby Pregnancy and berth is physically and mentally exhausting, and can drain the body of nutrients. This in turn can cause depressive symptoms

Depression can occur in cold and dark periods year and disappear in warm periods and light. Light stimulates brain activity, and lack of light is a causal factor.

TREATMENT OF DEPRESSION

Serious or prolonged depression is often treated with anti-depressants. Medicines used against depression generally increase the level of neurotransmitters such as serotonin in the central nervous system, or mimic the neurotransmitters.
The drugs most commonly used today increase the serotonin concentration, decreasing removal of serotonin from the space around nerve cells. Examples of these drugs are fluoxetine (Prozac), fluvoxamine (Luvox), paroxetine (Paxil) escitalopram (Lexapro, Celexa), sentraline (Zoloft).
In bipolar disorder in the manic face, heavy tranquilizers (neuroleptics) are used to stop symptoms manic. In bipolar disorder, lithium salts are sometimes used to stabilize the condition, and prevent new outbreak of depressive or manic faces.
Psychotherapy is used sometimes depression, usually in combination with medication.
Sometimes serious depression is treated by applying electric shock through of the head, electroconvulsive therapy. The shock causes epileptic eruption of nerve signals in the brain and this gives cramps throughout the body. The cramps are alleviated or stopped by the application of anesthesia before the electroshock. This form of treatment is controversial because it can cause memory loss and is suspected of causing brain damage. The possibility of brain damage, however denied by most psychiatrists.
In seasonal depression, light therapy maybe useful.
Adjustment of lifestyle should always be considered by depression or depressive symptoms. Pain Relief can sometimes be enough to cure depressive symptoms before developing a major depression. Lifestyle adjustments can be:

- To slow down a stressful life with too much work or activities.
- Enough rest and sleep.
- A good diet with enough nutrients.
- A little exercise.
- Meditation.
- Supplement of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, lecithin, amino acids and essential fatty acids.
- Stimulants like coffee or tea may help against depressive feelings moderate amount. However, if you are a heavy user of these stimulants, you must reduce consumption.

There are nutritional products on the market for help against depressive symptoms. These contain ingredients that the brain uses as building blocks for neurotransmitters, for example, amino acids and lecithin. Often also contain vitamins and minerals that the brain uses as tools to produce neurotransmitters, especially vitamin B6.

Supplements may further contain herbal extracts that trigger higher brain activity much like anti-depressant drugs, but may have fewer side effects.

Teachers, I need help with a project for family reading night.?

We have two events like this per year. Last year was my first year as a teacher. We did the family reading night in late November, so we did a Christmas type of holiday theme around the Polar Express book. We did an excellent job. Each grade level did a different theme. I teach second grade.
Anyway, this year it is going to be a fall or Halloween theme. We have little time to prepare for this since it was given with short notice. We have to do fun reading activities centered around fluency, comprehension, phonics, etc. Plus we have to send home some type of activity that the family could complete with their child.
What would be a good idea for a theme and some activities. I am stumped. I want this to go as well as it did last year and I am so worried about this.
